Typical Accountabilities: • Develops and maintains process and technology required to effectively a portfolio of projects • Acts as a source of knowledge in area of expertise, defining, communicating and implementing project management strategy • Responsible for ensuring scientific projects are delivered to time, quality, budget, project standards, company quality standards, and align with AstraZeneca’s strategy • Manages project organisation ensuring plans are optimal and meet overall goals of Project, Change, Business Improvement and Strategy Management • Introduces new ways of planning projects electronically through use of current systems and resources • Accountable for specialised research to deliver new proposals, co-ordinating delivery of best options or working models to enhance the effectiveness of Scientific Project Management contributions on a regional level • Keeps own knowledge of best practices and new relevant developments up to date • Leads and implements globally agreed Scientific Project Management and Clinical Development strategies including process and technology related to the function Typical People Management Responsibility (direct / indirect reports): • Approximate number of people managed in total (all levels) - 0 What is the global remit? (how many countries will the role operate in?): • Own country Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience: • Essential: Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline; Significant experience in scientific project management and local regulations and developments • Desirable: Advanced degree within field and/or professional certification; Business Strategy and Portfolio operational experience; Project management experience Key Relationship to reach solutions: • Internal (to AZ or team): Scientific Project Management function; Other AstraZeneca employees • External (to AZ): External service providers and regulatory bodies

Compensation Pay Range:

134,866.40 - 202,299.60 USD Annual

The annual base pay (or hourly rate of compensation) for this position is outlined above. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
